June marks a heavy flow into Animal Shelter

Bookmark and Share

June can be one of the most crowded months at Collin County's Animal Shelter. Right now, it's quickly approaching capacity, and has at least 60 dogs and cats waiting for new homes.

In fact, the increased flow to the shelter this time of year is heightened with litters of puppies and kittens, leaving the shelter staff and its corps of volunteers scrambling to find permanent homes for dogs and cats of all ages.

Come make a new friend and help make space by adopting one of our furry creatures.

All adoptions are just $25, and include spay/neuter, microchip, and first round of vaccines.

The shelter is located at 4750 Community Blvd., on the main county campus in McKinney. It's open from Tuesday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. The shelter is closed on Mondays.
