Collin County 4-H and FFA members are offering an opportunity for special needs children ages 5-18 to participate in a livestock show at Myers Park & Event Center on Saturday, Sept. 9.
Participants will have the opportunity to "Celebrate the Possibilities" by competing in a livestock show leading goats and sheep, brushing miniature horses, feeding chicks, gardening and see pigs, rabbits, dogs -- and more.
The event, which runs from 9 a.m. to noon, can only accommodate 40 participants, so please contact Amanda Parks at 972-548-4233 or email her at Amanda.parks@ag.tamu.edu as soon as possible.
The deadline to register passed a few days ago, but AgriLife folks want to fill up these sessions with kids who would enjoy the experience.
Here is a flyer for the event, plus a required application and liability waiver.
