Collin County Goes Platinum

Texas Comptroller Leadership Circle

Collin County goes 'Platinum' on government transparency

For the fifth straight year, the Texas Comptroller has cited Collin County for its efforts in government transparency with a Leadership Circle Platinum Award. This is the first year the Comptroller recognized local government for "exceeding" open government disclosures on their websites.

Collin County has received the Comptroller's top awards since the Leadership Circle awards launched in 2010, and was the first county government in the nation to post its checkbook online for public scrutiny in 2008.

This year's award goes beyond posting of budgets, financial reports and check registers online, to include detailed summary information online about current bonded debt and repayment. You can see our expanded government Transparency page

Other Collin County government agencies announced March 20 as Platinum Award recipients included:

City of Frisco

City of McKinney

The Collin Community College District

Frisco Independent School District

Richardson Independent School District

Wylie Independent School District
