TexFile: eFiling for Texas

Texas Supreme Court mandated eFiling System is near

Two important dates on are the horizon as Collin County – and the State of Texas – courts head to mandatory electronic filing  – or, eFiling.

Beginning January 1, the Texas Supreme Court will require all Civil and Probate cases to be filed electronically. This will apply to all levels of our local court system: Justice Courts, County Courts at Law and District Courts. Collin County will go live with the new eFiling system effective Sept.  9.

EFSP Fair in July

To get ready for this paperless changeover, Collin County is hosting an Electronic Filing Service Provider (EFSP) fair on July 19, from 11 a.m.- 2 p.m. in the Central Jury Room of the Bloomdale Courthouse. This is an opportunity to speak to many vendors offering E-filing services in preparation for the Supreme Court mandated E-filing start-up at the first of the year.

We’ve posted the court order requiring this new process and a flyer from TexFile, the Texas Judiciary’s selection as the statewide electronic court filing portal for all Texas courts. More information can be found at
