Health officials report COVID-19 related death for July 20

An 88-year-old McKinney man with COVID-19 and an underlying health condition died July 16 at a local hospital, according to a report received by Collin County Health Care Services. No further personal information is being released, out of respect for their families.

This brings the total of county resident fatalities associated with COVID-19 to 65.

As of this morning, the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) reported 5,374 total confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Collin County so far, with 4,394 of those individuals reported to have recovered.
