MARCH 19, 2020: In response to the COVID-19 disaster declaration for Collin County, the Collin County District Clerk's office will temporarily suspend all walk-in services effective today at 4:30 p.m.  This includes all walk-in services provided by civil, family, criminal and jury departments.

Our efforts are to better protect the public and the county employees during this crisis. The District Clerk's office remains open and will maintain our normal business hours. Our staff will continue to be available by phone, email or scheduled appointments if deemed necessary. We continue to provide our services through our normal paperless processes with our electronic systems and can be available for questions about items that are not clearly accessible to you on-line.

General case information is available to the public at all times online here.

We encourage the use of the eFiling system for the filing of all legal documents. All civil, criminal or family law filings can be done on-line. Please go to the below websites to sign-up for your free eFiling account:http://www.efiletexas.gov/https://efile.txcourts.gov/ofsweb and review https://selfhelp.efiletexas.gov/SRL to understand how to use this statewide process.

For additional information on how to eFile, requests for copies of records or for frequently asked questions, please go to the Collin County District Clerk's website.

If you need to pay court costs, please call 972-548-4317.

Individuals required to set-up a payment plan for a criminal cases should call 972-548-4317. Paperwork will be mailed to you as needed.

Collin County Constables will suspend service of non-essential court documents until the state of emergency is lifted, as allowed by Texas Supreme Court. The District Clerk will continue to process documents to the Constables for service requests as we receive them, but they will remain unserved at this time.

Thank you for your patience during these uncertain times. Our office will continue to monitor the changes in processes and update you on our webpage and subsequent statements when needed.
