Collin County Commissioners Court will conduct a public hearing on Monday, Nov. 18, 2019, regarding its role as Anchor to the Texas Health and Human Services' (HHSC) Waiver 115 Medicaid program. The public hearing will provide for public input on the Plan Update being submitted to the state, for providers in the counties in Regional Healthcare Partnership 18 (RHP 18) to continue participation in the Medicaid Waiver program.
This Plan Update modifies the original Plan approved in 2013 and a subsequent update in 2018 by the Texas HHSC and the Federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). It allows providers to continue services for Medicaid, Low Income and Uninsured adults and children that would not otherwise be available. It expands community based healthcare to reduce unnecessary hospital admissions, readmissions, and use of emergency care.
Collin County is the Anchor for RHP 18 that includes Collin, Grayson, and Rockwall counties. Collin County must approve and submit the Plan Update by Nov. 27, 2019. The Plan Update provides information about providers, required outcomes and anchor activities for 2019-2021.
Collin County, as the RHP 18 Anchor, is responsible for seeking regional stakeholder comments on the Plan Update from interested stakeholders.
The public hearing will be part of the regularly scheduled Collin County Commissioners Court meeting, at the following time and place.
