For Immediate Release:

 OPERATION SAFE HALLOWEEN

From October 26 - 28, 2021, the Collin County Sheriff's Office conducted "Operation Safe Halloween." This undercover operation targeted suspects who utilize the internet to prey upon adolescent children.

Sheriff's investigators in collaboration with agents from the Texas Department of Public Safety and Homeland Security Investigations made a total of 18 arrest during Operation Safe Halloween. Two individuals were charged with Possession of Child Pornography and 16 subjects were charged with Online Solicitation of a Minor, including Steven Adams who was arrested in Obion County, Tennessee. Investigators have secured additional arrest warrants for three individuals charging them with felony Online Solicitation of a Minor, and we expect those arrests will be made soon.

During the operation, Investigators seized a large number of electronic devices that were used by these individuals to commit their crimes. These devices will undergo forensic examination, which may result in additional criminal charges being filed.

Collin County Sheriff Jim Skinner stated, "If you come to Collin County with the intent to prey upon and abuse our children, we will lock you up, and our District Attorney will send you to prison.  Heed my words…we will do what is necessary to protect our children."

We would like to thank Homeland Security Investigations and the Texas Department of Public Safety for their participation and assistance.
