Online Judicial Search
A one-stop search engine to review court cases, past and present, from traffic tickets to felony crimes, divorces to civil torts, by name, case or citation number; look up current inmates, view mug shots, check bond amounts, time served, or link back to the inmates' criminal cases; and, check active warrants and link back to any cases tied to those warrants. It's mobile-friendly and updated 24-7.

Case Search

Case Search
This Case Search feature has a single search screen interface and can be used to search and view information for all case types simultaneously. The case data used by this feature includes:

  • Active Cases held in any of the Collin County District, County Court at Law, including Probate, or Justice Courts.
  • Historical Cases held in the Justice Courts at anytime from 1984 to the present.
  • Historical Civil Cases held in either the District or County Court at Law Courts anytime from 1984 to the present.
  • Historical Probate Cases held in the County Court at Law Courts anytime from 1984 to the present.
  • Historical Criminal Cases held in the District Courts anytime from 1988 to the present.
  • Historical Criminal Cases held in the County Court at Law Courts anytime from 2000 to the present.

Please Note: The case data used by the Case Search feature is updated daily at 6 p.m., thus changes made to a case during the current business day will not be reflected by this search feature until after 6 p.m.

Case Record Inquiry
The Case Record Inquiry system can be used to search and view information for all case types, but only one case type can be searched at a time and the case type must be selected prior to performing the search. You will need to select the appropriate case type from the drop-down box prior prior to selecting the appropriate "Case Records" link within the application.

This feature can be used to search for active and some historical cases including:

  • Active Cases held in any of the Collin County District, County Court at Law, including Probate, or Justice Courts.
  • ​Historical Cases held in the Justice Courts that were active on or after May 4, 2009, for Precinct 1 and on or after August 3, 2009, for Precincts 2, 3-1, 3-2, & 4.
  • Historical Civil Cases held in either the District or County Court at Law Courts anytime from 1984 to the present.
  • Historical Probate Cases held in the County Court at Law Courts anytime from 1984 to the present.
  • Historical Criminal Cases held in the District Courts anytime from 1988 to the present.
  • Historical Criminal Cases held in the County Court at Law Courts anytime from 2000 to the present.

Defendent mugshots are included on Criminal cases where this information is available.

The case data used by this feature is updated in real time, thus changes made to a case during the current business day will be reflected immediately.

Court Schedules

Court Calendar Search
Use the Court Calendar service to search and browse the calendar for any case type in any court. You will need to select the appropriate case type from the drop-down box prior prior to selecting the "Court Calendar" link within the application. Also, when searching the Probate calendar, be sure to search the calendar by Judicial Officer and select "Copeland, Weldon S" as the officer for that court.

Historical Cases Inquiries

For Historical Case Searchs of case records that are not contained in the online search applications listed above, you will need to request a manual case record search either in writing or in person at the respective clerk's office.

Historical Case Searches that require a manual lookup include the following:

  • Historical Criminal Cases held in the District Courts anytime from 1800 through 1987.
  • Historical Criminal Cases held in the County Court at Law Courts anytime from 1800 through 1999.
  • Historical Civil Cases held in either the District or County Court at Law Courts prior to 1984.
  • Historical Probate Court Cases held prior to 1984.
  • Historical Justice Court cases held prior to 1984.
