Visitation schedules are given to parents at the time their child is admitted to the Detention Center. Visitation schedule is followed seven days a week and are also posted in the center.

When a child is first admitted into the detention center each parents or guardian will be allowed one 30 minute outside of the scheduled visitation hours.

Each child will be allowed one 30-minute visit on scheduled visitation days for his/her program. Since a juvenile is only allowed one visit per day, the approved visitors must work out amongst themselves who will come on which day or time to be shared for one day of visitation. Visitation with pastors or attorneys will not count as the child's visit for that day. Call prior to coming to see the child to make sure he/she is eligible for visitation.

All visitors must be at least 18 years of age, must be on the approved list, and must have a state issued ID.

Parents or legal guardians are the only visitors approved at the time of intake. Any other visitors must be approved by the Superintendent. His approval may be obtained during normal business hours, Monday through Friday.

Do not leave children unattended in the lobby. Do not take personal property into the visitation room.

Dress code: No short shorts or skirts, tank tops, halter tops, or spaghetti-strapped tops are allowed in visitation.

Juveniles are not allowed pictures in short-term. Long-term juveniles are allowed two pictures. Incoming and outgoing mail must show full name and address of the juvenile and the sender/recipient.

Juveniles will be furnished with writing materials and postage. Correspondence with any other person who is presently on probation, parole or in custody is prohibited, excluding parents or guardians. Parents or guardians may furnish the staff with a list of specific individuals who they feel should not communicate with their child. Such incoming correspondence shall be returned unopened to the sender. The resident will open incoming mail in the presence of a detention officer with inspection limited to searching for contraband.

Juveniles are allowed to call home collect. If your phone is restricted or cannot receive collect calls, contact your phone company to see if the restriction can be removed. I.C. Your child has been placed in this program by the court. It is belief that if you and your child fully participate in this program your child should be able to successfully complete this program. It is our hope that every child committed to this program will learn the skills needed to make good decisions that will allow them to become useful productive citizens.
