Steve Asher was born and raised in Sparks, Nevada, where he lived until
  relocating to Texas in 2013 to be closer to his family.
  Steve enjoys outdoor activities such as camping, water skiing, hunting, and
  biking. He is a member of Hope Fellowship Church, the FBI National Academy
  Association, the North Texas Police Chief's Association, Texas Justice of the
  Peace & Constables Association, and Texas Association of Counties.
  Steve holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a major in
  Homeland Security from Northcentral University in Prescott, Arizona, and an
  Associate of Applied Science degree in Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement from
  Truckee Meadows Community College in Reno, Nevada. He is also a graduate of
  the Federal Bureau of Investigation National Academy (Session 229) and has
  completed the Senior Management Institute for Policing at Harvard University.
  Additionally, he holds Master, Advanced, Intermediate, and Basic Peace Officer
  Certificates and a Basic Instructor Proficiency Certificate through the Texas
  Commission on Law Enforcement.
  Steve dedicated 29 years to law enforcement in Washoe County, Nevada, retiring
  as Chief of Police for the Sparks Police Department. During his 24 years with
  the City of Sparks, he served in roles including Patrol Commander, Detective
  Commander, Internal Affairs Lieutenant, Patrol Lieutenant, Detective Sergeant,
  Training/Community Affairs Sergeant, and Patrol Sergeant. As a Police Officer,
  Steve held assignments in detectives, SWAT, training, and as a motorcycle
  officer.
  After moving to Texas, Steve joined the Collin County Sheriff's Office, where
  he served for eight years in various leadership positions, including
  Administrative and Operations Assistant Chief Deputy, Commander, Patrol and
  PSS Lieutenant, Investigator, and Patrol Deputy.
  Before being elected as Collin County Constable for Precinct 4, Steve served
  as the Chief Deputy Constable for Precinct 4 in Frisco, Texas.
