​​​​Collin County Teen Court is responsible for the administration of the county-wide program involving the handling and disposition of cases referred by the justices of the peace as well as other agencies. Teen Court is also responsible for the recruitment and training of teen volunteers for participation in the program.

How to I sign up to volunteer?
To sign up, fill out the Volunteer Application and Confidentiality Agreement. You will receive an email confirmation. When a date has been posted, you will receive an email from the site SignUp. Please make sure to check your spam folder.
When is the attorney training scheduled?
The attorney training is usually scheduled in the fall. You should have volunteered at least twice before signing up and be at least 14 years old. Current volunteers will be notified by email when date is chosen.
How often are court dates scheduled?
Court dates are scheduled when we receive cases from the referring courts. If we don’t receive cases then we cannot schedule court. If you have signed up to volunteer, you will receive an email from the site SignUp when a date has been posted.
Why are the attorney positions filled so fast?
There are only 5 positions for attorneys for each court. The teens who sign up for these are highly competitive.
Can you sign my son/daughter up for future dates?
No, we cannot pre-reserve dates. It would not be fair to the other many volunteers who want to volunteer.
