In 2025, Collin County’s District Courts disposed of 31,750 cases, reflecting a 27.5% increase in filings over the past three years. Even with this significant growth, Collin County’s District Courts increased total case dispositions by 10% over the previous year.
These numbers reflect more than efficiency — they represent families receiving timely resolutions, victims seeing cases move forward, businesses resolving disputes, and children finding stability.

According to performance metrics tracked by the Texas Office of Court Administration, Collin County District Courts dispose of cases at the fastest rate in Texas.
On average, a case filed in Collin County is completed in 5 months and 6 days. For citizens, that means less waiting, lower costs, and greater certainty during some of life’s most difficult moments.
Dedicated Judges Serving a Growing County
Each Collin County District Judge serves approximately 84,000 residents, one of the highest citizen-to-judge ratios in the state. Despite this workload, the District Courts conducted 157 jury trials last year, a more than 3% increase.
