After more than two and a half decades of outstanding service to Collin County, County Administrator Bill Bilyeu announced his retirement effective July 5, 2024. His leadership has been instrumental in navigating Collin County through periods of exceptional growth, while maintaining stability and efficient operations.

"I am immensely proud of the talented team I've had the honor to work with over the years," Mr. Bilyeu stated in a letter to the Commissioners Court. "Their commitment to upholding the highest levels of integrity in service to our community gives me great confidence Collin County's future remains in good hands."

The Commissioners Court will soon begin the process of selecting a successor to continue Mr. Bilyeu's legacy of exceptional leadership.

To apply for the position of County Administrator, candidates must meet the following criteria:

Must have management experience leading diverse teams with a preferred background at a federal, state or local government agency.
A strong knowledge of financial and economic concepts, planning, government operations, vertical construction, transportation, and organizational management is also required.
