County health authority reports 3 COVID-19 related deaths

According to reports received by Collin County Health Care Services (CCHCS), three county residents died at local care facilities, all of whom had underlying health conditions and COVID-19: An 81-year-old Plano man died today at Arbor Hills Memory Care; A 67-year-old Allen man died Monday evening at Mustang Creek Memory Care; and, a 61-year-old Plano man died July 6 at a local hospital. No further personal information is being released, out of respect for their families.

The three deaths bring the total of county resident fatalities associated with COVID-19 to 61.

As of this morning, the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) reported 4,685 total confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Collin County so far, with 3,681 of those individuals reported to have recovered.
