Health Officials Report 1 COVID-19 Related Death

An 83-year-old Dallas man with an underlying health condition and COVID-19 died July 9 at Highland Springs Senior Living in Dallas, according to reports received by Collin County Health Care Services (CCHCS). No further personal information is being released, out of respect for the man's family.

This brings the total of county resident fatalities associated with COVID-19 to 62.

As of this morning, the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) reported 4,800 total confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Collin County so far, with 3,822 of those individuals reported to have recovered.
