Deputies Respond to Large Juvenile Gathering and Reported Gunfire in Lucas

[Collin County, Texas] - October 13, 2025 — On Saturday night, October 11, 2025, at approximately 10:00 p.m., deputies with the Collin County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to the 500 block of Mark Drive in Lucas, Texas, in response to reports of a large juvenile gathering causing disturbances in the area.

Initial reports described a gathering that had grown significantly in size, resulting in noise complaints, possible underage drinking, and individuals moving through neighboring properties.

As deputies responded, the call was elevated when additional 911 calls reported possible gunfire in or near the residence. Witnesses stated that unknown individuals in a vehicle stopped in the roadway, discharged a weapon in an unknown direction, and fled the scene.

Deputies arrived, began dispersing the crowd, and assessed the area for any immediate threats. No injuries were reported. Additional reports indicated that an unidentified subject had been seen walking through a nearby yard carrying what appeared to be a long firearm.

A perimeter was established in an effort to locate the individuals involved, and support was provided by the Fairview Police Department. Aerial assistance from the Texas Department of Public Safety was utilized to assist with the search. Despite a coordinated response, no suspects were located.

The incident remains under investigation. At this time, there is no indication of an ongoing threat to the public.
