Collin County Sheriff's Office Announces Success of Operation Safe Halloween
[Collin County, Texas] - From October 22 to October 24, 2024, the Collin County Sheriff's Office conducted its 3rd Annual Operation Safe Halloween, an online undercover initiative targeting individuals who use the internet to exploit children.
This year's operation, led by the Collin County Sheriff's Office Child Exploitation Unit, in partnership with multiple law enforcement agencies resulted in six arrests. Warrants have also been issued for the arrest of four additional individuals. All suspects are charged with Online Solicitation of a Minor.
The success of this operation reflects the Collin County Sheriff's Office's ongoing commitment to safeguarding children and holding offenders accountable.
The Sheriff's Office extends its sincere appreciation to the Texas Department of Public Safety, Dallas Police Department, Homeland Security Investigations, Department of Family and Protective Services, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, North Texas ICAC Task Force, North Texas Criminal Interdiction Unit, Collin College Police Department, and Operation Underground Railroad for their vital support in this operation.
Protecting the community, particularly children remains the highest priority for the Collin County Sheriff's Office. The Sheriff's Office will continue to deploy every available resource to identify and apprehend those who seek to harm the most vulnerable members of our community.
