About the Collin County Future Mobility Study
Collin County is experiencing rapid population and employment growth. The Future Mobility Study is an opportunity for residents, businesses and other stakeholders to provide input on current and future transportation needs. The study includes eastern and southeastern Collin County as well as portions of Dallas, Rockwall and Hunt counties to help ensure a regional approach to transportation planning.
Initiated in Fall 2020, the Collin County Future Mobility Study is aimed at identifying transportation improvements to accommodate rapid population and employment growth. Now in Phase 2 of the study, Collin County will present a proposed plan for future county roadways and other transportation improvements, which have been developed based on ongoing data analysis, traffic modeling, and public input collected during Phase 1.
Community input is central to the study. The recommendations reflect feedback received during the spring 2021 public meeting series, which was attended by nearly 2,400 members of the public. The County is offering additional public meeting opportunities to foster continued public participation and ensure the final study plans align with community values and preferences.
