Allen man with COVID-19 dies in McKinney hospital

A 62-year-old Allen man with an underlying health condition and COVID-19 died early Monday at a McKinney hospital, according to a report received by Collin County Health Care Services today. Out of respect for his family, no further personal information is being released.

As of this afternoon, the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) reported 5,456 total confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Collin County, with 4,473 of those individuals reported to have recovered.

This is the 66th fatality of a county resident with COVID-19 reported to county health authorities.
