Collin County Sheriff's Office Announces Arrest in Ongoing Homicide Investigation

[Collin County, Texas] - September 24, 2024 - The Collin County Sheriff's Office has arrested Mark Anthony Horak (W/M, 07/12/59) in connection with the ongoing investigation into the death of Olutoyosi Molomo (B/M, 01/24/93), who was found deceased at Horak's residence on Billy Mitchell Drive in McKinney on July 31, 2024.

Mr. Horak has been charged with Tampering with or Fabricating Physical Evidence with Intent to Impair a Human Corpse, a Second-Degree Felony under Texas Penal Code Section 37.09. This charge follows evidence indicating that Horak knowingly altered the crime scene after Mr. Molomo's death.

The investigation began when the Sheriff's Office responded to a report of an unconscious male at Horak's home. Upon arrival, deputies discovered Mr. Molomo, who had sustained fatal injuries. Following an autopsy performed by the Collin County Medical Examiner's Office, the cause of death was determined to be a homicide by gunshot wound.

At this time, the Collin County Sheriff's Office is requesting the public's assistance in gathering more information regarding this case. We are asking anyone with knowledge of the events leading up to Mr. Molomo's death, or any other relevant details, to come forward. Public cooperation is vital to ensure that justice is fully served in this matter.
