Commissioners Court appoints Williams as Constable, Precinct 1

The Collin County Commissioners Court voted unanimously Monday to appoint Constable Shane Williams to fill the upcoming vacancy in the office of Constable Precinct 1. The vacancy was caused by the death of Constable-Elect Mike Vance.

Monday's vote was held in open court after the Commissioners Court interviewed all eligible applicants. The winner of the Nov. 8, 2022 special election for Constable Precinct 1 will serve the remainder of the unexpired, four-year term.
