Update on the Four-Person Boating Accident That Happened Saturday Night
For Immediate Release:
In the morning of Monday, June 20, members of the Collin County Sheriff's Office dive team recovered the body of the third man who died in a four-person boating accident that happened Saturday night on Lake Lavon near Brockdale Park after a storm overturned their small boat. One man survived the accident Saturday night and was able to call 9-1-1. Game Wardens rescued this individual and multiple responding law enforcement agencies were unable to locate the remaining boaters following an exhaustive search of the area. The other three men involved in this accident were 60-year old Jose Maria Dominguez, III; 34-year old Julio Bibiano-Gonzalez; and 30-year old Rafael Bibiano-Olea. Although the Medical Examiner's Office will make the final determinations, all three men appeared to have drowned. Each of the men who died resided in the Plano area.
The Sheriff's Office reminds everyone to be careful on the lake, check the weather report, and wear life preservers or personal flotation devices while out on the water.
