Collin County Commissioner Susan Fletcher Elected to Statewide Leadership Role
Collin County Commissioner Susan Fletcher has been elected to serve as Vice-Chairperson of Administration for the Texas Conference of Urban Counties (CUC), a statewide association representing Texas’ most populous counties. Her two-year term began January 1, 2026.
Commissioner Fletcher was elected by the CUC membership during the organization’s annual meeting on November 19, 2025. The Texas Conference of Urban Counties serves as a forum for county leaders to collaborate on policy, governance, and best practices that enhance county government and improve services for residents throughout the state.
Serving Collin County since 2014, Commissioner Fletcher has built a reputation for principled leadership and a strong commitment to public service. She has consistently championed transportation infrastructure improvements, public safety initiatives, and fiscally responsible budgeting, while maintaining a low county tax rate without sacrificing essential services. Her approach to governance emphasizes transparency, accountability, and open communication.
In addition to her work on the Commissioners Court, Commissioner Fletcher has been actively involved in numerous local, county, and state-appointed boards. She is a strong supporter of Collin County’s diverse international community and has been engaged in initiatives focused on missing children and public safety.
As Vice-Chairperson of Administration, Commissioner Fletcher will help guide the internal operations and governance of the Texas Conference of Urban Counties, contributing her experience and perspective to statewide leadership efforts.
The newly elected CUC officers and board members will serve alongside county officials from across Texas, bringing diverse expertise and regional insight to the organization’s mission of improving county services while keeping costs as low as possible for taxpayers.
