Collin County Jury Convicts Defendant in Fentanyl-Related Overdose Death

Collin County, TX — On June 30, 2025, a Collin County jury found Noah Gregory Honesty guilty of murder in connection with a fentanyl-related overdose death that occurred in November 2023. The investigation, led by the Collin County Sheriff's Office, determined that Honesty sold counterfeit M-30 pills laced with fentanyl to the victim.

Following the conviction, Honesty was sentenced to 38 years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. The case was thoroughly investigated by the Collin County Sheriff's Office and prosecuted by the Collin County District Attorney's Office.

This verdict highlights the continued commitment of local law enforcement and prosecutors to combat the dangers of counterfeit drugs and fentanyl distribution in our community.

Collin County Sheriff Jim Skinner:

Let me be clear: if you're selling this lethal fentanyl in Collin County and someone dies because of it, you're going to prison for murder. Period—this is about protecting our families and our communities from killers who distribute this poison. I'm proud of the work done by my investigators and the District Attorney in this case. This verdict proves we will hunt you down and hold you accountable.
