Constable Matt Carpenter has dedicated his life to defending his community and keeping the streets of North Texas safe. A third-generation law enforcement officer, Matt has spent his life in service of others. Matt took his first job in law enforcement in 2003 and has since worked with the Plano Police Department, the Henderson Police Department, and the Collin County Constable’s office. Matt serves as a member of the Texas Justice of the Peace and Constable Association and serves as Sergeant at Arms on the Board of North Texas Justice of the Peace and Constable Association. In 2021, Constable Carpenter was named the Texas Deputy of the Year by the Justice of the Peace and Constables Association, recognizing him for his dedicated public service and professionalism while serving Collin County. Elected officials throughout 254 counties in Texas were considered for this award, with the members of the JPCA deciding that Constable Carpenter was worthy of this prestigious accolade.

Constable Carpenter works daily to keep the citizens of Collin County safe, always remembering that serving others and defending our community, our constitution and the State of Texas is his top priority.

Constable Carpenter is dedicated to the service and protection of Collin County residents that are the backbone of this area. Matt believes that the taxpayers and residents of Collin County deserve a Constable to be prepared, educated and to provide a professional environment that the taxpayers of Collin County deserve, with a team of dedicated, experienced, and trained officers who will keep this community safe.

When he is not at work, Matt and his wife, Casey, love spending time with their three children and attending Melissa ISD games and McKinney Christian Academy Events; supporting the local athletes and children who are pursuing education and careers in our community. The Carpenter family attends the First Baptist Church in Blue Ridge.
