Mike Gould is a lifelong Texan and has proudly called Collin County home for more than 22 years. From day one in
office, Mike set out to modernize the District Clerk's Office and raise the standard of service provided to the
public, the legal community, and the courts.
Shortly after taking office, Mike led the effort to restore passport acceptance services returning a much-needed
public service to county residents. He has also overseen significant improvements in technology, championing
automation and responsible AI innovations that streamline case processing, reduce delays, and improve the accuracy
and security of court records.
Improving the experience of residents reporting for jury duty has been a major priority. Under Mike's leadership, the
office has expanded digital tools, simplified communication, and implemented customer-focused processes to ensure
jurors spend less time waiting and feel more informed and respected throughout the process.
Mike represents Collin County on the Bail Bond Board, serves as a member of TAC's Core Legislative Group, and has
contributed to several committees within the County & District Clerks' Association of Texas (CDCAT) during his first
term. His involvement at both the local and state levels reflects his commitment to efficient courts, fiscal
responsibility, and public transparency.
As a long-time Plano ISD parent, Mike is deeply connected to the community he serves. He believes in fostering strong
public institutions and ensuring county offices operate with integrity, innovation, and a true focus on the people
of Collin County.
