Are you ready for the upcoming flu season?

The flu is more than a common cold. Each year, thousands of Texans get the flu, get hospitalized, and sadly, sometimes die. These are preventable deaths! People 65 or older, are at a higher risk for getting sick from the flu. Don't wait. Get your flu shot. Talk to your doctor about the best time for you to get vaccinated.

The Flu and Covid-19

  • It's possible to be sick with the flu and COVID-19 at the same time.
  • Two for one! It's safe and effective to get the flu shot and the COVID-19 vaccine at the same time. Protect your health and the health of your loved ones by getting vaccinated this flu season.

The Flu and Pregnant Women and Infants

  • The flu vaccine is recommended for all pregnant people, and it's safe to get during any trimester of your pregnancy.
  • Babies younger than 6 months are at a higher risk of catching the flu but are too young to be vaccinated. If you are taking care of an infant, it is important for you to get your flu shot.
  • Did you know it's safe to get the flu shot anytime during pregnancy? When you are vaccinated, it protects your baby up to six months after birth.
