Update: Upcoming Hearings
A hearing has been set for State of Texas v. Karmelo Sincere Anthony (Cause No. 296-83565-2025).
August 20, 2026, 9:00 a.m., 494th District Courtroom, Collin County Courthouse - A hearing over a request for a new trial
On August 19, 2026, the assigned judge overseeing this case issued a Second Supplemental Order Regarding Hearing/Trial Proceedings, Media Access, Security, and Courtroom Decorum. The order states that the Amended Order Regulated Trial Proceedings, Media Access, Security, and Courtroom Decorum entered on May 18, 2026, remains in full force and effect throughout the duration of the proceedings.
To ensure a safe and orderly proceeding, media and public access will be managed in the same way as the original trial and the hearing on August 19, 2026.
An overflow room with a video feed to the 494th District Courtroom will be available on August 20, 2026. No electronics are allowed in the overflow room.
