Engineering: Northeast Freeway

Collin County is studying a proposed new-location freeway in northeast Collin County. The study is focused on identifying and preserving a future transportation corridor that can help serve continued growth, improve regional mobility, reduce congestion, and provide connections to existing and planned major roadways.

The study includes feasibility and schematic design, environmental studies, and public and stakeholder involvement. Public input will continue to help identify local concerns, constraints, and opportunities as alternatives are evaluated.
