A librarian can provide short, factual answers to reference questions that do not require extensive research. A librarian is available to take your call during regular library hours.

Come in to the Law Library
A librarian is available to assist you in the Law Library during regular library hours. The Curt B. Henderson Law Library is located on the lower level of the Russell A. Steindam Courts Building at:
2100 Bloomdale Rd., Suite 02536
From the South (Plano, Dallas):
- Take US 75 north from Plano.
- Take Exit 42 (Wilmeth Rd.) and continue north.
- Stay on the service road approx. 1.2 miles to the Bloomdale/McLarry Rd. sign.
- Turn left onto Bloomdale Rd. and cross the overpass.
- The Collin County Courthouse will be on the right at
2100 Bloomdale Rd.
- The Law Library is located on the 1st floor of the courthouse.
From the North (Anna, Melissa):
- Take US 75 south.
- Take exit 43 (Weston Rd.) and continue south.
- Stay on the service road approx. 2 miles to the stop sign at Bloomdale Rd.
- The Collin County Courthouse is on the right side at
2100 Bloomdale Rd.
- The Law Library is located on the 1st floor of the courthouse.
From the East (Farmersville, Princeton):
- Take Highway 380 west to US 75.
- Take US 75 North.
- Take Exit 42 (Wilmeth Rd.) and continue north.
- Stay on the service road approx. 1.2 miles to the Bloomdale/McLarry Rd. sign.
- Turn left onto Bloomdale Rd. and cross the overpass.
- The Collin County Courthouse will be on the right at
2100 Bloomdale Rd.
- The Law Library is located on the 1st floor of the courthouse.
From the West (Frisco, The Colony):
- Take Highway 121 east to US 75.
- Take US 75 North.
- Take Exit 42 (Wilmeth Rd.) and continue north.
- Stay on the service road approx. 1.2 miles to the Bloomdale/McLarry Rd. sign.
- Turn left onto Bloomdale Rd. and cross the overpass.
- The Collin County Courthouse will be on the right at
2100 Bloomdale Rd.
- The Law Library is located on the 1st floor of the courthouse.
Please note that Law Library staff will respond to questions from patrons at the Law Library first, telephone inquiries second, and email as time permits.
Legal Assistance vs. Legal Advice
By law, no member of the Law Library staff may give any patron legal advice. Accordingly, staff may not interpret legal materials for patrons, advise them as to how the law might apply to their particular situation, or assist them in preparing and filling out legal forms of any kind. Staff can provide patrons legal assistance by directing them to topical print materials, sections, and subject headings that might be helpful in answering a particular question.
