To amend a birth or death certificate, follow the steps outlined by the State Department of Health Services on the Texas Vital Statistics website.

For expedited service, you may visit the Collin County Clerk's McKinney or Plano locations. If you are mailing a request, it will be processed and sent back to you within 2-3 business days.
