​​​​​​​​​​To record a Land Record, the document must be an original or clerk certified copy. It must be signed and notarized. Please refer to the Land Recording Fee Schedule.

To look up a Recorded Document go to Collin County, Texas: Deed Search

  • Searc​h by Name, Instrument Number or Volume/Page.
    • Property records recorded from January 2006 through April 2022 contain a zero at the end of the instrument number. The instrument number contains 17 digits and begins with the year month day recorded (example: 20100505000078890).
    • Moving forward, the instrument number for property records recorded as of May 2, 2022 contain 13 digits and begin with the year recorded (example: 2022000568323).
  • If you only know the physical address, first look up the details of the property on the Collin Central Appraisal District website.
  • You may also view subdivision maps and abstract maps on the Collin CAD website.
