County Clerk: Beer and Wine Applications

After obtaining a Beer and Wine application packet from the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC), please complete the following steps in order:

  1. Take the application packet to the city secretary's office where the business is located to obtain the required approval and signature.
  2. Bring the complete application packet to the Collin County Clerk's Office for signature.
  3. Take the complete application packet to the Texas Comptroller's Office for signature.
  4. After all three entities have signed the application, return the complete packet to the TABC for final review and approval.

Additional Requirements

  • If the application is for a new business that has never been issued a beer and wine license, you must publish a legal notice in a newspaper of your choice that serves the city or town where the business is located. The notice must be published once a week for two consecutive weeks.
  • If an Assumed Name Certificate (DBA) has not already been filed for the business, one must be filed with the Collin County Clerk's Office.
