FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Collin County, Texas - On January 9th, 2024, deputies from the Collin County GHOST Unit, serving as Task Force Officers (TFO's) with the U.S. Marshals Joint East Texas Fugitive Task Force (JETFTF), collaborated in the apprehension of an individual who had evaded law enforcement in the State of Indiana.

The fugitive, Raymond Washington III, was wanted on four felony warrants issued out of Allen County, Indiana. The charges included two counts of Murder, one for Robbery Resulting in Serious Bodily Injury, and one for Firearm used in Commission of Offense/SBI/Death Results. These warrants were a result of an alleged incident in July 2023, where Washington was accused of conspiring with two other individuals to commit robbery and murder, leading to the tragic death of a 17-year-old female.

JETFTF TFOs, in collaboration with the U.S. Marshals and The Texas Department of Public Safety, successfully located Washington in Allen, Texas. The apprehension took place without incident on the morning of January 9th, 2024. Following the arrest, Washington was promptly transported and booked into the Collin County Detention Facility on the outstanding felony warrants.

Raymond Washington III will remain in the Collin County Detention Facility, pending extradition back to Allen County, Indiana, where he will face charges related to the aforementioned felony warrants.
