​The Collin County Sheriff's Office does not have a single custodian for all records it maintains. The Sheriff's Office maintains a wide variety of records in multiple divisions, and all records related to a single person may not be stored in a single location.​Where to Direct a Subpoena​​​

If you have information regarding suspicious or criminal activity and wish to remain anonymous, please call the Collin County Sheriff's Office Fugitive/Intelligence/Narcotics Tip Line at (972) 547-5117.

Text Us Via 'TIP 411'

To submit an anonymous tip via text message to the Collin County Sheriff's Office, text CCSO and your tip to 847411 (tip411).
Be sure to save or record your tip ID. You can use the ID to login to view feedback about your tip from the Sheriff's Office. Just enter the ID on the tip submit page and any feedback about your tip will display. You can then submit additional information to the Sheriff's Office using the tip form.

TIP 411

The Collin County Alert Network is a free service provided by the CitizenObserver organization through "tip411" to enable persons to receive alerts from the Sheriff's Office via e-mail or as a text message to a cell phone.

Through this website, The Collin County Sheriff's Office will provide information to help maintain and improve community safety. You can also opt to receive surrounding city and community alerts that are on the CitizenObserver alert system.

Scam Alert Form
The Collin County Sheriff’s Office will never call you and request payment of fines or warrants over the phone. If you suspect you have been a victim of a scam, report it by filling out this form and emailing it to the address listed. Scam Form

Alarm Permits
The Collin County Sheriff's Office requires that homeowners who have a monitored residential alarm system obtain a permit for that alarm system.

The Collin County Sheriff's Office requires that homeowners who have a monitored residential alarm system obtain a permit for that alarm system. The alarm permit is required for all residences where the Collin County Sheriff's Office is the primary law enforcement provider. Only monitored alarm systems are included in the Collin County Alarm Permit Ordinance. 

If your city has a Police Department, you must obtain a permit from your local agency (If required). 

The fees for the alarm permit are stated on the permit form. Permits must be renewed annually. A notice of renewal will be sent to each permit holder prior to the permit expiration date. Once a permit is obtained, please notify the Collin County Sheriff's Office should you move, disconnect, stop using the alarm, or stop monitoring the alarm system.
